I'm a mother at 16?

25/02/2016

Hello lovelies,

Today is going to be more of a personal post.. A bit of a rant if you like.

A few days ago I was out with my youngest half-brother who is 5. We had just popped into a local supermarket about a 10 minute walk from our house,  to get some fresh air and pick out a magazine while getting some milk for the rest of our family at home. So we are strolling round the shop holding one handle of the basket each to share the jobs when a few girls start walking down the aisle from the opposite side that we do.

The girls were probably around my age maybe even slightly younger... My outfit was the opposite to there's though I had on an over sized jumper and coat but they were sauntering around in little crop tops.. Because obviously flashing your belly while shopping is the thing to do. Back to my story anyway...

My brother Nathan and I are very close, he's like a best friend to me so we always hold hands and are laughing our heads off. So we start getting some I interesting looks, dirty looks if you like. These girls stop there conversation and stare at me because I'm walking with him. As we walk past they clearly turned there heads behind me and watched us before I heard one mutter... "Is that his mum?"

This isn't the first time it has happened. We always get looks from anyone whenever we are out and I hate it. So what if I was his mother... It's no place for you to judge me and stare me up and down. I'd rather they kept their noses out because if they knew me then... Thinking about it logically I would have had to have him at around aged 10/11.

I hate the way society has created this 'figure' if you like about young mums and that every teenager or young adult that spends quality time with family whom are a lot younger is suddenly a parent. If people can cope at a young age being a parent then that's their choice and I'm not saying I'm against it at all but it's at the point that I can't even take my youngest brother to the shop anymore without people staring. He is my brother, do you want me to put a big sign above my head saying 'BIG SISTER'. It frustrates me, I can't even put into words how I feel.

What I'm trying to say I guess is that you really need to know someone before you judge them. They say not to judge a book by its cover so don't judge my life or anyone else's by what you see.

I'm sorry for ranting to all the lovely people in this world that think mine and my brothers friendship is special or what not. We are just very close and having comments by other people isn't going to change that.

I feel a lot more comfortable in my skin... and here is how*

14/02/2016

Hello Lovelies,

So I have always had quite bad skin and it has affected how I feel about myself. Until recently when I switched up my morning and evening face routine. Before I was just splashing water on my face and taking my makeup off thinking yeah this will do, but then as soon as I started to use the right products I was becoming a lot happier with my skin. Just because this worked for me doesn't mean that it will work for you because everyone has different skin!

I obviously start in the evenings by taking off my make-up... this is the most important part. I just use a make-up remover and cotton wool.  But apart from that everything else I do twice a day!

Liz Earle products are one of my favourites when it comes to keeping my skin clean because they are so natural. The Hot Cleanse and Polish leaves your skin feeling really refreshed and as soft as a baby’s bottom. It also removes any excess make-up your remover may have missed while taking away any dirt that may have accumulated. You rub it into slightly damp skin and then use the muslin cloth to wash it off; however I do that slightly differently...

I rub in my Liz Earle Hot Cleanse and Polish using my Magnitone because it works it into my skin, cleaning all my pores out. It also means I make sure I cover my whole face because it feels so nice I make sure I’ve covered everywhere. On top of that it also adds to your face feeling like a baby’s bottom which... I might add helps makeup go on a lot better in the mornings because it is such a smooth base.

If in the final two steps I hadn't removed all the dirt then after this it is all defiantly gone! I apply a few drops onto my cotton wool pad and wipe across my whole face. It helps adding to the feeling of freshness. I love adding this to my whole routine because it makes sure I'm super clean.

In the evenings only I take a cotton wool swab and dip it to the bottom of the bottle. It picks up a brownish liquid which you then hold onto one spot. Obviously you have to keep changing cotton wool swabs as to not spread the germs of each spot but it helps. It dries on the spot white a bit like toothpaste does but then dries out the spot reducing the redness also. It basically gets rid of it in two days!

I hope you have enjoyed a little insight into my morning/evening face routine, leave a comment or tweet me if you'd like to see a morning routine or something!

Blogger Interview - andlaurenanne

04/02/2016
Hello Lovelies,

Previously I had the opportunity to interview the lovely author Katarina West (you can read that here!) and it was one of my favourite things to do. So I thought today why not change is up a bit and interview a fellow blogger.

andlaurenanne also known as Lauren, has recently changed her whole platform and layout, to something incredibly sophisticated and it looks incredible! I am so jealous of how it looks! Anyway I have known Lauren before she became a blogger and she is incredibly sweet! I feel like everyone needs to make sure they check out her blog after she has answered my questions!

1.       Share a fact with my blog readers that you think many others don’t know about you?

I suffer from chronic nightmare syndrome because of my anxiety.

2.       If you had to describe your blog in 5 words what would they be?

Important – Because it is an important part of me

Creative – I have recently re-designed my blog and I love the new layout!

Outlet – I love to write down my thoughts and ideas on a little space I call my own.

Personal – I can write whatever I want and no-one can stop me.

Profile – Shows who I am and what I love.

3.       What motivates you to write?

Abbie. Jokes. Trying new things and wanting to share it with everyone... Even if it goes wrong. Also when I’ve kept things in my head for a while and then need to let of some steam, I find it easier to just type away and put it all in a blog post.

4.       What are your favourite posts to write?

Tips posts because they don’t have to be about anything in particular but I can share things I know work.

5.       If you could only ever use one product for the rest of your life which would it be from make-up, hair, skincare e.t.c?

Cleanser because I hate the feeling of my skin being dirty.

6.       What type of person would you visualise reading your blog?

Girls around my age… I’m not really sure who else would read it!

7.       What one thing can you not live without and why?

Make-up or friends… *insert cry laugh emoji here* both I love but in different ways.

8.       What advice would you give to any newbie bloggers?

I would say to make sure your pictures are of good quality and don’t give up!

9.       Who inspires you… day to day as well as in the blogging world?

Amelia Liana and Estee Lalonde. Both are huge inspirations to me, I have looked up to them for a long time.

10.   What can you see happening in the future for your blog?

I want to continue it for a long time but I don’t see it being a full time thing.

Thank you ever so much to Lauren who allowed me to interview her for today’s post! I hope you have enjoyed something slightly different! Her Links are below:
