Q&A!

26/11/2014

Hellooo everyone!

This week I tweeted asking if anyone wanted to ask me any questions and I was actually asked quite a few!? So I narrowed it down to 9ish questions? If you would like to ask me any questions in the future you can leave a comment below!

Question 1. 'Why did you start this account?'

I didn't know if this was my twitter or my blog so I'm going to do both! I started my twitter because it is a fan account for Youtube. However I started my blog because I felt like it was somewhere in which I could escape from my exams and have something that I just like to do ( I'll explain the full story another time!)

Question 2. ' Would you rather live without the Internet, or toilet paper?!'

I sat and thought about this for quite a while because I really didn't know ( laughing as I type this next bit ). However I would rather live without toilet paper because there is no rule saying I cant use kitchen roll right?!?

Question 3. 'Who inspires you the most in your everyday life?'

I'm going to be very deep here be prepared.... The one person who inspires me the most would be my mum. This is because she is so lovely and caring and does some amazing things. I love my mum so much and if I was to grow up like her, being as successful as she is then I would feel like my life is complete!

Question 4. 'What is your favourite thing about Christmas?'

Well.... If you know me well then you will know that Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and I LOVE IT SOOOOOOOOO MUCH :):):):):):):):):):):):):) I love the films, the food and seeing family and spending time with them. But I love one thing the most and that is snow because who doesn't love a white Christmas?1

Question 5. 'What's your favourite thing about living in the UK?'

I am one of the weirdo's that love the sudden changes in British weather. This is because one day it is sunny and the next foggy and frosty. I'm hoping this will happen again soon but be snow instead!

Question 6. 'What did you say to Alfie when you met him?'

Meeting Alfie was one of the best things in my whole year of being 14! When I approached him myself and my friend both asked for high fives because he was sat behind a desk it was the only physical contact we were allowed with him, and he said okay, but my hands are sweaty from signing so many books! Then we were chatting and I told him I loved him and gave him my letter. I also got a book signed for my friend who is not very well, and Alfie being as sweet as he is wrote her a get well soon message in the front of her book!

Question 7. 'Who is one person you would love to meet?'

I have a few idols in which are all amazing and I would love to meet either, Zoe Sugg, Tanya Burr or Blake Lively. I think all these women are absolutely stunning and I would love to just have a conversation with them. You may not know who Blake Lively is, but she plays Serena Van Der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

Question 8. 'Do you have a you tube channel? If yes, are you doing vlogmas?'

In answer to this, no I do not have a You tube channel. However I am going to try something that i am calling 'Blogmas' and try to post different Christmas things and DITL and follow me around random things, so that will be starting on the 1 December until the 25th! I hope you will like this idea?!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it, and it might have answered some questions about me that you didn't know!!

Liz Earle is my life saver!

19/11/2014

Hellooo!

This week I thought that I would do a product review. If you saw my last post you would know about how I feel about my skin and my insecurities. When I started to use Liz Earle I suddenly noticed a huge difference in the way my skin looked, making me feel slightly more confident.

This product is the Liz Earle cleanse and polish Hot cloth cleanser. This you simply rub the cream sort of product into your skin without water or any liquid and let it soak for 5 minutes. I use one pump of the 100ml bottle, for my face every morning and evening.

One thing I love is the fact that it is made with naturally active ingredients such as: Rosemary, Chamomile, Cocoa Butter and Eucalyptus essential oils. I think this makes it smell divine but also it is very smooth on the skin and very moisturising! It is also good for all skin types which is good for me because I have combination/oily skin. When you order this product it is sent with a muslin cloth.

This cloth you just heat up under running hot water and as soon as it is taken out of the water it starts to cool quite fast, so you can do a bit of your face and its kind of an indicator to know when to wash and re-use the cloth. To cover my whole face I have to wash it about 4-5 times, but I don't mind because I know my skin is clean.

I also find that the Liz Earle cleanser takes of my little bits of make-up that won't come off, and this is a benefit to me, because with one of my mascaras ( Benefit they're real) I really struggle to remove it even with Clinique make-up remover and Liz Earle products ALWAYS get that off for me, which makes me happy!

I have also tried the Liz Earle oily/combination moisturiser as well as the skin tonic booster, and these both are very good as well and really help my skin, but the Hot Cloth Cleanser helps me the most!

I would recommend this product to anyone with quite spotty skin, because it really helps clear it up, and make me feel confident with out my make up on! I would defiantly rate this a 5/5!

However the Liz Earle products are quite expensive so you may want to think about it first or try a smaller bottle and don't go straight into 100ml. Overall Liz Earle is a lovely product and it is so lovely to use!

You can buy it from the Liz Earle website just click their name!: Liz Earle

Why do i use make-up?

12/11/2014
Hey guys!

So many of you are probably slightly confused by the title and so was I when I first wrote it. However now that I've started typing, and my fingers are tapping away I cant stop so I apologise if this is very long, but it is my opinion and how I feel and more!

I started wearing make-up in year seven, which is the beginning of secondary school. However this was something simple like a mascara or a translucent powder. This was on/off depending on when I got up(me being a lazy year seven sleeping until 7am this wasn't often!!). It was all just for fun and because I was thinking well why not experiment with different things. However as my skin grew worse and worse I started getting comments off of people, about how I looked and it really put my self-esteem down.

I have quite spotty skin and I have tried so many different face washes and cleansers and everything under the sun but I can never find things that can work. The only way I can clear up part of my skin is by staying in the sun for at least 3 weeks and it finally starts to clear up. However even if I only have one or two spots I still feel very self conscious.

And then as I started year 9 I was fed up of these comments and started to wear more and more make-up. I knew at the time that this was bad for my skin but I kept doing it because it was something to hide behind. Something to help me feel as though I could fit in and be normal for once. As the year went on I started to wear and apply more types of make-up and it just became a chore for me to do. When year 9 ended I really wasn't confident unless I had on my make-up which I could hide behind. Starting in year ten the September just gone, I felt like unless I would keep on wearing this make-up everyone would still make comments about me and upset me... So when I went back to school, I not only was wearing powder, but also foundation, concealer, mascara and I really tried to hide.

I was finally happy because I felt like now people couldn't judge me. Until today. Two people in the space of one hour asked me why am I wearing make-up? and told me that I was wearing to much make up this then upset me and I felt like crying because make-up was my way of hiding but it apparently wasn't working. Its not like my foundation is the wrong colour because it is matched to my skin by the number 7 machine thingymobob!

Now I really don't know what to do because I cant dare to be bare skinned, yet I don't want to wear my make-up because otherwise I feel like people will make comments towards me.

However if you watch a youtuber called Zoella ( Zoe Sugg ) then you will know about her video where she talks about how your skin doesn't define you. However being in a public school I feel like no-matter how I look people will always make comments towards me and it just makes me really upset that we cant all be seen for who we are, and not be defined by our skin, just like Zoe said!
Please feel free to leave comments below with questions or anything you want to know, or advice because I am open to this, or go on the contact tab and drop me an email because I am happy to talk to anyone and I wont share anything unless you wish me too or anything like that.

Thank you,

<3
