Things I'm Loving This Summer...

16/07/2018

Summer for me started back on June 8th when I sat my last exam at sixth form. I had officially left full time education. With my summer starting so early, I have such a long period of time to do so many things. I've already been away to Rome with my friends which I talked about in my previous post but I'm now away in Florida with my family. I've already been soaking up the sun and eating as much food as humanly possible but I thought to why not share what I have been loving over summer so far.

The first thing I have been loving is my new suitcase which I actually picked up from TKmaxx. I couldn't not have a pretty white suitcase. I say pretty white... It is now an off white with black scratches all up it from being in the luggage hold... but it is still pretty in my eyes!

Another thing that I have been loving this summer is the Dr Paw Paw Original Multipurpose balm. The balm can be used literally anywhere, I've been using it on my lips after a day in the sun; on my eyebrows while I'm at the beach to keep them under control and even on patches of my sunburn (right down my nose) that otherwise stings with aftersun. This product has become a staple in my makeup bag.

Another thing that I have been loving this summer is the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette which I bought a while ago and had neglected because I am always buying new palettes. Then when I was packing for Rome I wanted a palette that was small but had a good mirror so I grabbed the Tarte palette forgetting how much I really loved it. Now I'm wearing it all of the time.

Another thing that I am loving this summer is Bandeau tops, specifically the ones from Toyshop. I have literally every single colour now because they are so easy to wear and go with everything! My favourite pairing has been with a denim skirt so I can show off my attempt at a sun tan!

Turning 18 | What to Wear*

15/01/2018

Just last week I turned 18, leading up to it I was stuck on what to wear to a party with my friends or even for a meal for my family.  I then decided that I would share a blog post with some outfit ideas that I have loved and so you might be able to get some inspiration. I am fully aware I'm not your normal fashion blogger. I don't look as fabulous as they do and being a student means I can't pay professional photographers and so I pay my best friend with our friendship to do it for me.

I tried my best to show you how much I loved these outfits and I hope you can see that!

This first outfit was my most 'civilised' outfit if you will because it wasn't short or low cut. I paired the  Madelyn Taupe Jumpsuit Set* from an online website called Tobi with the most gorgeous shoes from Ego Official* to add a different colour into the Nude mix. I added a fur jacket with my outfit too because with this temperamental British weather you can never tell if its going to be cold, hot or rain! I cut the label out of this jacket a long time ago but I have found a similar one from New Look here.

My second outfit was more of a party outfit for me because it was a little short and the slope in the dress is different to what I've seen in bodycon dresses before. This dress came from Tobi and even has the special bit of plastic in the top of the dress to hold it up which I can never find inside dresses these days, find this dress Here.  Like before I paired the dress with the Perspex heels from Ego Official because they broke up the gap between the floor and the dress with a little more black. Finally I partnered the outfit with a Coat from H&M.

My final outfit was my most 'girly' outfit of the three because it was a floral dress without being a floral print. The Skater Dress is the most beautiful lace pattern that I want this dress in every single colour now. Duck egg blue is a colour that I would never normally wear but in this dress I will happily wear it. The shoes are partnered this dress with are from Newlook and are a similar pattern. I decided to wear floral patterned shoes with the floral patterned dress because why not go from one extreme to another.  Unfortunately I cannot find these shoes anywhere but here are some similar.

In need of Sunglasses? Don't worry, I've got you covered!*

28/10/2016

Now that the weather is brightening up I have loved being able to wear sunglasses again! Obviously living in the UK we rarely get a chance to wear sunglasses so as soon as I went away to Florida I knew that I would finally get wear out of them. Below are a couple of shots of my favourite pair that I  have been loving recently teamed up with a cute outfit to give you inspiration!

On the right I am wearing them on my head as a fashion accessory.
On the right I am wearing them to keep out the sun while playing with snapchat filters!

My sunglasses are from a website called GlassesShop.com and they are a website that allows you to buy not only sunglasses but also prescription glasses in many different styles. The glasses are super affordable and are definitely long wearing because I've had mine for over six months now and they are still going strong. The glasses also came in a plastic box to keep them protected which is much better than the material ones you get in shops!

You can find my sunglasses here: https://www.glassesshop.com/eyeglasses/sup0205

I have unfortunately left my glasses with my best friend over in America because I am so forgetful however here is a picture from their website of what they look like up close:

So gorgeous!!

More Than Just A Bracelet.*

20/09/2016

When looking at a piece of jewellery how do you decide whether you are going to buy it or not? Do you decide based on the price? Appearance? Packaging? Slogan? I do all but not all.

What first attracted me towards Sailbrace.co.uk was their slogan 'Anchor yourself to something special' I fell in love with the words and to me it had such a beautiful meaning. The slogan itself had made me want...need one of these bracelets but with such a large range of colours how was I supposed to choose?

I based my decision on the anchor itself as I owned a lot of Gold and Silver Jewellery but not yet Rose Gold. Being a typical blogger I obviously was  drawn into this. I then had the hard decision of the strap/rope however I went with something slightly neutral compared to that of the Rose Gold, so that the anchor was the main feature.

I have been wearing my Sail Brace bracelet for about a week now and I have to say it is the comfiest thing I've ever worn, half the time I forget I'm wearing it! Obviously the bracelet isn't waterproof because the 'strap' would get ruined but because it can easily be tied and re-tyed it is easy to remove for a shower!

The bracelet would be a perfect present for a best-friend or loved one at christmas as it is suggesting to them, that you don't want to lose them and fell like you need to hold them close. Guess my friends already know what they're getting for christmas,

Sail Brace have only recently launched in the UK, so if like me you have completely fallen in love with the whole website then feel free to head over and purchase one yourself. I have a 10% discount code available to you which is 'abigailjessicax' so make sure you go over to sailbrace.co.uk to make sure you get a fabulous saving! If you are interested in the Rose Gold and Grey Bracelet then you better hurry as they are limited addition!

#SEVENTEENBLOGGERNETWORK Event!

19/08/2016

Yesterday I headed up to London with one of my good friends Poppy from the youtube channel PoppyLinehanx to attend the #SEVENTEENBLOGGERNETWORK event.

During the course of the event we where able to listen to guest speaks such as Kate Snooks (YES I WAS FREAKING OUT INSIDE AND WE GOT A PICTURE !!), Rollo Goldstaub who works at Google/Youtube and celebrity make-up artist Vanessa Guallar. I may be partial to say so but I loved all of the tips Kate shared about her beauty blog and I am hoping to put them to use over here on my site!

I was ever so grateful and felt so fortunate to be invited to such an incredible event where I genuinely came away feeling like I had learnt something really useful! All the products featured in this post were gifted in a goody bag which I wasn’t expecting at all and there will be a more in-depth review of them to come!

I also 'vlogged' the day to try it out and it may have turned out miserably but hey, you have to start somewhere...

(I can't find links to the playsuit or the sandals so I have tried to find similar for you!)

Crop Tops and Trousers.

07/06/2016

You may have noticed if you follow me on twitter that I have a big love for New Look clothing at the minute, most of my wardrobe is filled with their clothes. Obviously when I placed a big order online I had to share with you an outfit I had put together!

I paired together these trousers with a crop top because of the high waistband. I thought that showing a slight bit of my tummy, seeing as it’s supposed to be 'summer', would be better with a crop top than a floaty top tucked in. I have rather strange body sizes so I love trousers that I can tie at the top because it means they fit properly! Trousers that are loose are perfect for summer because they don't get clingy and sweaty like skinny jeans.

The detailing at the top of the crop-top has to be my favourite part because of the scalloping, especially for summer because it reminds me of flower petals laid out in a row. In the summer I like to wear off the shoulder tops so I don't get too sweaty and so obviously this top is perfect! If you didn't want to wear a crop top, like I said above you could wear a floaty white-cami or t-shirt to dress the outfit down and not be as smart. The top itself that I am wearing is by Cameo Rose.

The shoes I am wearing are the most gorgeous pair I have ever laid eyes on. The picture doesn't do them justice (or the fact that I dragged my brother to take the pictures who has no idea how to work the camera). The pattern is like lots of lacy flowers have been strung together. I am normally one to go straight for my Vans or Converse however I wanted an outfit that was smarter and looked I guess a bit sophisticated. The shoes have a zip at the back which means you can easily take them on and off but because I have such strange sized feet I had to also undo the laces at the front so that I could do them up tighter!

(I bought the shoes last week but now I can't find them online, so above is some similar)
