The Prettiest Pinks*

16/11/2016

The blush and the lipstick are definitely the prettiest pinks I've ever seen... however maybe the eyebrow pencil is a bit more of a brown. A couple of posts back I tried out W7 makeup for the first time and completely fell in love with it, since then I've ran out of the primer and not found one I love even nearly as much.

Shade - Hot Gossip

Talk about being sparkly, shimmery and spectacular. This blusher comes in a brick form of a powder, contains 6 gorgeous shades that all work as one or as sextuplets separately (I googled what 6 twins is called and apparently its sextuplets and I felt like it just sat right). My favourite shade is the bottom left hand corner which comes out very similarly to Nars-Orgasm. The paler whites and pinks can even work as a soft highlighter if you were to dip a small enough brush into the colour, then it would work perfectly. The blushers are very pigmented and the glitter  transfers nicely from the brush to the cheek with minimal fallout.

Imagine if you could apply pink glitter to your lips, without the actual glitter the harsh scratchy feel or the dry texture. Oh wait... The shade Negligee by W7 is a gorgeous light/medium pink full of sparkle. The pink colour has a slight opacity to it however this isn't noticeable until up close. The glitter hides the fact the pink isn't a bold colour, however this is what I love about the lipstick. I've never found a lipstick that is full of glitter yet isn't dulled out by a bold, bright toned colour. It's a bonus that Negligee doesn't dry out your lips like any other glitter lipstick would have. For the price of this lipstick it is so affordable!

I am not yet mastered in the skill of getting my eyebrows to look good, no matter how hard I try or the amount of products I use, I cannot get eyebrows that look how I want them too! I used the W7 Super brows, when testing out makeup products late at night (who doesn't lets be honest) and so many people commented on my brows and I was amazed because I thought I'd done a job of a 5 year old. I followed my natural brow shape and added in 'fake hairs' or little lines in simple terms before brushing through with the spoolie so my brows were back in shape. The brush clearly is magical because it blended all these harsh lines that I had created together to create an eyebrow that didn't even look like mine.

I hope you enjoyed exploring a few more W7 products with me, my favourite from this trio has to be the blusher brick,  I love the shimmery colours and high pigmentation!

A brand I've never used before... But Now I love !!

06/09/2016

The lovely Molly over at W7, sent me a few makeup items to try out. W7 is a brand that I always see when I'm scrolling through Amazon or on social media yet I've never ordered any because I don't like the idea of having to do it all online as I can't go into the shops to swatch and try everything out!

I was rather intrigued by the idea of a waterproof foundation and had always wanted a product that would last. I wore the foundation on my GCSE results day and lets leave it as a cried multiple times. There wasn't a single streak in my face and not a single bit of the makeup had moved. I was so impressed that it had lasted through my salty tears. The coverage is very high for the foundation and I think this helps in making it waterproof and long-lasting. The colour I wore is Sand-Beige and although it is slightly too pinky for me I just blended it down my neck and managed to get away with it! The packaging is similar to many of my high end foundations being that it has a pump and is a glass bottle. I feel although the bottle being glass helps keep the product looking clean because its easier to wipe away fingerprints of foundation! If you are going to be crying like me, or if you just want a high coverage foundation without the cost then I am definitely recommending the W7 Waterproof foundation as it was incredible.

Obviously to go with a foundation you need a good primer and that is exactly what the W7 Prime magic, camera ready prier does. The consistency of the primer is similar to the photo ready Smashbox primer. It is obviously clear and doesn’t have a slight tint or colour like other primers I have tried previously. I use quite a bit of primer as I’d rather have slightly too much and my pores are protected than not enough. I’m not sure if the primer helps with the foundation but it does definitely hide majority of my pores and makes my skin look photoshopped without the photoshop.

The eyebrow pencil (shade brown) was in a 'style' I'm going to call it that I have never used before. I'm normally a gel kind of girl with powder over the top as I love the finish it gives on your brows. However… When using the W7 product it was so creamy yet dried like a powder I was amazed and couldn’t believe that all this times I had been using a gel with powder over the top when there was a product available that could do both. The nib is in the shape of the bristles on an eyebrow brush if you know what I mean! It is triangular and slanted so that you can get those on fleek brows!

I also tried out the lipstick in the shade Damson. The red colour is my go to shade for going out in the evenings, as it is more glam and bold which is the look I always like to go for. The colour pay of is a lot higher than I first anticipated because it is such an affordable price. The lipstick isn’t as long lasting as a more high end product and it will last for around 3 hours and thats with drinks and food too. The lipstick has a matte finish which means it isn’t shiny or glossy. A lot of matte lipsticks have a rather drying formula but I found this one didn’t and it still moisturised my lips while wearing it.

The final W7 product that I tried was the ‘Eye want it’ eyeshadow collection. The colours in the palette are all my normal go to options and I really liked the pigmentation. It did take slightly longer to blend the colours out but I didn’t mind because it does give me the option of more of a prominent look if that is what I wanted. My favourite colour had to be the pinky shimmer as it was such a gorgeous colour. It looks lovely either as a lid colour or even as a light dusting on the top of the cheekbones as a highlight. The tin works as really good storage for the colours however I do think it is rather bulky and it sticks out in my draw. You could easily de-pot them and pop them into a z-palette but I am unsure if they are magnetic or not!

I hope you have enjoyed this review of a few W7 products. My favourite has to be the foundation I have fallen in love with it and now wear it everyday!!

Live Love Makeup Obsession London Review!*

26/01/2016

 Hello Lovelies,

So todays post is going to be a review of s few products by Live Love Makeup Obsession London. A little while ago I was lucky to come home and see a parcel arrive from them containing a few goodies. Live Love Makeup Obsession London is a new brand on the market which has come into BHS Stores.

Top row!

Middle Row!

Bottom Row!

The Love your eyes palette has to be my favourite product that I received. There is a variety of colours ranging from warm browns to dark greys and purples. Most of the colours had good pigmentation apart from the gold shade in the top row. I loved the look of the bottom right hand colour however it did have a lot of fall out. Apart from those few minor issues I really loved the other colours. The purples weren't too bright which is something I hate when I try to blend them out. Also the colours on the far left can be used in the inner corner or even as a cheekbone highlight. Mentioning blending all of the colours can easily be blended out from the crease to make a smoky look or even along the top lash line for a definition. I guess its a bonus that I love the simple monochrome packaging because I feel like it has more of an effect than a brightly coloured palette.

The lipstick is the perfect nude pink. It is very moisturising once on the lips. The colour is pigmented for the first 2 or so hours however I found it started to fade away and it wasn't there after about 4 hours. But when the lipstick was first applied I loved it.

The body spray I have been carrying in my school bag and taking out with me because I always love to put some more on after pe or just in class! Everyone has been asking what it is and where can they get it because it smells so good! The smell (you know I'm awful) is fruity but musky. I don't know how to describe it but its good okay. Just smell it next time you are in store and you will agree with me! Also the bottle is perfectly sized!

The volume spray I was feeling a bit sceptical about because I wasn't sure if it would work. But I was completely wrong. When I have my natural curls they are big and have tons of volume but as soon as I straighten them out my hair is super flat. I first tried the spray in dry hair and it worked a bit like hairspray that was workable. It didn't make my hair wet causing it to curl up, it helped hold the straightness (is that a word?!). I then tried the damp hair, style and blow dry. This worked in a different way to before. This made all of my hair seem thicker and have twice as much volume than before. It also made sure the product was distributed a lot more evenly. If you want to just have your roots seem not so flat then go in when your hair is dry, if not after you wash it!

I hope you have enjoyed this post. I tried to be honest and say how I truly felt instead of dazzle up the product. But overall I was really impressed with the makeup and sprays! I would recommended these to anybody who is just trying out makeup and wants to start trying new colours and the spray... well everyone needs it!

September Favourites!

01/10/2015
Hellooo!

So now that it is the first day of October I felt it was necessary to do a favourites post. September was the beginning of the school year and so I was buying lots of new things ready for a fresh start. Because this is my little space on the internet I thought that I would share them all with you!

The first item on my favourites list is this notebook. Taking notes is essential while in class, but I hate the boring books they give you at school in plain Jane colours. So when I was searching the web I came across a website called The Works. This is a website that sells cheap books and art supplies. I found this notebook in the sale for only £2 instead of £8 and fell in love. It looks a lot like a Cath Kidston one that I used to own but a lot cheaper!

Another thing that I have loved this month is the Benefit Air Patrol. I received a sample of this in the post and couldn't wait to try it out. Let me tell you... it is practically cement when it comes to keeping eyeshadow on. The shadow doesn't crease and lasts for a long time! I will do a full review of this in the future but for now I’ll leave you with that.

Another thing I have loved which may seem kind of weird to you is a scent of deodorant. The sure women sense in Bright Bouquet has such a floral scent it reminds me of summer. I like this in the autumn time because it contradicts the crisp morning air and is just so refreshing?! The deodorant itself is long lasting especially after a Zumba class first thing on a Monday morning!

Another thing that I have loved is the Make-Up Revolution Lipstick inthe shade Mystify. I was drawn into the brand after seeing Beautybythebunny post endless pictures on Instagram (which I love to see!). I didn't realise how cheap this brand of make-up was! Obviously because of the low price I was rather sceptical but it is just as pigmented as I would find an L’Oréal or even some of my Mac Lipsticks. The only downside is that it doesn't last as long.

Now that it is officially winter I have given in and purchased a winter coat. I was shopping online with my mum when I came across this coat and instantly fell in love. The inside is lined completely with fur which is extremely snug! The fur is removable which is perfect for the days when it is slightly warmer or I am wearing more layers. The coat was purchased from Oasis and I have to say it is the best coat I’ve ever owned.
Talking of online shopping I have recently discovered a new website called popmap.com! This website is a market place full of over 500 boutiques and shops found all across the world. There is shops from over 30 different countries... it’s like visiting them all through a laptop screen! There are boutiques to suit everyone from Make-up to fitness to clothes to fashion to home décor... you name it, they probably have it. My favourite store that I have found on there so far is called Lotta Gift and they sell adorable candles in jars that have the most amazing scents. I have just ordered the hot chocolate one ready for autumn! And Popmap is so much better than just popping into your local shop, it’s much more personal. Because it is all over the world you can experience the different aspects people in that country love, as well as catching onto new fashion trends early!
My final favourite of the month is of course the Great British Bake off. This is a T-v show aired on BBC one on a Wednesday evening 8pm-9pm. I find the T-v show has a lot of inspiration towards me because I am constantly baking. I bake every week at school as well as quite a few weekends whether its cookies to crème Brule. My favourite to win this year was Flora... but she left last night! I found that the way she cooked and her creativity was something that I just loved!
I hope you have enjoyed my September favourites, leave a comment below, about what you have loved!

Burberry kisses review!*

22/04/2015
Hellooo!

A few weeks ago on twitter Burberry started a campaign where you nominated your friends to receive a free sample of the new Burberry lipsticks. Obviously because they were a sample this is not the full size and so I imagine they will be about double in size?! You could choose your shade from a selection of four colours, there was a red, a nude and 2 different shades of pinky colours. I was nominated twice so I git two colours! Because I am loving them so much I thought why not review them and share my opinion on the interweb!

The first one I choose was Military Red No. 109. (The left one in all of the above photos) I choose this colour because whenever I wear red people always say that it goes well with my eyes and helps them stand out, so I went with a red colour. I had very high hopes for these lipsticks because they were made by such a high end company and I was not let down. The lipstick is very pigmented with a high coverage in one sweep on the lips. The colour is easily buildable which is one thing that I love about lipsticks so I can have it slightly pale in the day, yet darker for going out in the evenings. While on the subject of going out I will say that the Military red lipstick does not budge. I will go out in the morning and have lunch, eating and drinking, and again it hasn't budged. This is the same if I was going out with the girls for a meal it does not move! Five stars defiantly from me, and I will be purchasing the bigger version of this!

Now the second one I choose was Sepia No.85. Now this colour I felt was a lot more hydrating to the lips. I felt as though it was a lot softer and felt as though I was wearing nothing on my lips. Now I know they are made exactly the same but for some reason I felt like this one was a lot nicer and easier to wear. This lipstick I normally have just been wearing out and about in the day and I have received many a compliments on it. Which obviously make me happy! This lipstick just like the red is also very high coverage and you can easily build up the colour! Sepia starts of as a pale pink then with three glides over the lips it seems to have a tinge of purple/brown and stand out more.

I hope you have liked this review of my two Burberry kisses! You can follow me on my blog now over to the right or on google+ so you can receive updates on when I post... that's if you like what I post!!

See you soon x
