Autumn Make-Up Look!

07/10/2015

Hellooo Lovelies!
Today I wanted to do an autumnal make-up look for you! I decided it was easier to write the steps with a few pictures of the final image! I love this look and think that it is perfect for autumn! While doing this I realised my lack of skill in taking selfies! Come back to my blog on Friday to find out about the clothes I wear with this look eeek!
My primer that I used I used is the Benefit Porefessional. This is amazing. It shrinks the size of your pores, practically making them invisible! I find applying this under my foundation helps it stay longer but also it glides on. It is the best purchase I’ve ever made!
After my primer I obviously applied foundation. The foundation I choose to use is the Rimmel Lasting perfection. I have owned this since the beginning of the year and have never had the right shade of skin to wear it (Back then I just gambled with my make-up and slapped on any bits and bobs!). This foundation has quite a high coverage meaning I need minimal concealer. A hint in the name 'Lasting' is true! You can sometimes buy products that don't do what it says on the tin, but this defiantly does!!
After this is go in with my concealer which is the Estee Lauder double wear. This concealer is practically cement. I dab it in with my beauty blender by Real Techniques and it does the job. It has a high coverage and will cover even the reddest of spots... even the dreaded under eye bags!
Then I applied my bronzer and blusher. The bronzer I used is the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer. I have raved about this before because not only is it amazing but it also smells like chocolate... So it is to die for! Then I did my blusher with the Make-Up Revolution blusher in the shade Sugar. I really blended it out with my setting brush because I like a subtle colour.
After this I applied my eyeshadow Primer. My primer was a sample of the Benefit Air Patrol! This is as amazing as the Porefessional... Not only does it prevent creasing but it creates an even toned base that can then be blended into eyeshadow. For eye shadow I used the Urban Decay Naked 2, which is my ultimate favourite! I used the colour Chopper all over my lids and then blended through the crease with the colour Snakebite.
Then I applied my mascara which was the Benefit They’re real! This mascara has been my favourite since it was released! I love the volume it is the most amazing mascara invented! If you go back and stalk me you will be able to read it!
Every bloggers favourite powder was then applied which is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 002! This powder is fabulous. That’s all I can say. It is so cheap and affordable everybody needs to try!
Finally I applied my lipstick. I used an H&M Lip Pen in the Shade Cherry. This colour is so autumnal I love it! It is buildable so you can easily make it darker!
I hope you have enjoyed this different post! What is your favourite make-up item that you never leave the house without?

HandHface

Heeellooo :)

So a while ago I  did a blog post talking about how I wasn't comfortable ever going out without make-up on and that people would always make comments to me (as in they would say them direct to my face), or behind my back about how I looked and all the things you can think of that would upset a person, yet I've learned to just not care.

There is so many other things in life that I should be worrying about.. not how my face looks or the clothes i'm wearing that day because I know certain people will be around to say something to me. So recently i've embraced my inner-self and i've not worn make-up to school for 2 whole weeks. Now to any normal person this would be normal! But.. to someone who is self conscious like myself I feel as though it is a huge step and I am genuinely proud of myself for doing this.

By the title you are probably wondering what does this mean? Well it stands for 'Half and Half Face' Something I am starting. I believe that all girls no-matter what type of skin they have, whether they have spots or smooth as a babies bottom skin, a rash, eczema..  we are all made the way we are for a reason and in this way we are all perfect just the way we are, no matter what anyone else says to us. People make comments at girls (from personal experience) if they are wearing make-up saying why? why are you wearing make-up? what's the point? Yet then if you don't wear make-up everyone gives you weird looks or asks, are you tired? you look ill, are you okay? did you have a rough night, un-able to sleep? NO just no. We may all be different underneath but together we are all one, we are all the same 'thing'... its called being human, just because you may be growing up, developing in different ways, your hormones are acting up, or simply trying new things it doesn't mean you have to try even harder to be what society has created today as to be the perfect person.

I have grown recently to think.... Having spots is fine, its normal. Having wild frizzy curly hair its fine, its cool! Having a different sense of fashion.. so what be yourself... Who cares what everyone else thinks...
Wait..
I do..
You do..
We all do...
We all try to be perfect to fit in...
We all want to be that person that everyone wants to be like...
We all want to be that person that everyone wants to be friends with.....
We all want to be that person that everyone wants to copy their fashion style....
We all just want to be NORMAL..OURSELVES.... AND WANT TO STOP PRETENDING TO BE SOMEONE WE ARE NOT.

So I am starting the hashtag on twitter or instagram or any social media you want to called #HandHface This way we can show everyone the person we really are, and the person society has made us become. All you have to do is take a selfie with your natural hair and no make-up on one side of your face and then on the other side wear a full face of make-up... style your hair as if you were going out to a party or an evening meal.

I tried doing my own version of the idea that I have thought of by having no make-up and my natural frizzy curls, then the other side what has been created by the society in which I live in.. straight hair and a full side of make-up. I dare you all, do it, show the world who you really are because trust me I promise you are beautiful... everyone is.. just in their own way. With make-up we aren't any different to what we are underneath. It doesn't make us become a new person. It may seem like a mask to hide behind but really we are hiding our own inner beauty and we deserve to show it off!

So go take a selfie and post it on social media with the hashtag #HandHface and tag your friends to do the same. Please get involved and show everyone that you are beautiful, and no one will stop you from being the person you are!

Feel free to share this post with your friends I would appreciate it, A LOT!! Lets see how many people we can get to join in <3

Also if you would like you can tag me on twitter so I will see all of your beautiful faces: @tbhjoesugg

Q&A!

26/11/2014

Hellooo everyone!

This week I tweeted asking if anyone wanted to ask me any questions and I was actually asked quite a few!? So I narrowed it down to 9ish questions? If you would like to ask me any questions in the future you can leave a comment below!

Question 1. 'Why did you start this account?'

I didn't know if this was my twitter or my blog so I'm going to do both! I started my twitter because it is a fan account for Youtube. However I started my blog because I felt like it was somewhere in which I could escape from my exams and have something that I just like to do ( I'll explain the full story another time!)

Question 2. ' Would you rather live without the Internet, or toilet paper?!'

I sat and thought about this for quite a while because I really didn't know ( laughing as I type this next bit ). However I would rather live without toilet paper because there is no rule saying I cant use kitchen roll right?!?

Question 3. 'Who inspires you the most in your everyday life?'

I'm going to be very deep here be prepared.... The one person who inspires me the most would be my mum. This is because she is so lovely and caring and does some amazing things. I love my mum so much and if I was to grow up like her, being as successful as she is then I would feel like my life is complete!

Question 4. 'What is your favourite thing about Christmas?'

Well.... If you know me well then you will know that Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and I LOVE IT SOOOOOOOOO MUCH :):):):):):):):):):):):):) I love the films, the food and seeing family and spending time with them. But I love one thing the most and that is snow because who doesn't love a white Christmas?1

Question 5. 'What's your favourite thing about living in the UK?'

I am one of the weirdo's that love the sudden changes in British weather. This is because one day it is sunny and the next foggy and frosty. I'm hoping this will happen again soon but be snow instead!

Question 6. 'What did you say to Alfie when you met him?'

Meeting Alfie was one of the best things in my whole year of being 14! When I approached him myself and my friend both asked for high fives because he was sat behind a desk it was the only physical contact we were allowed with him, and he said okay, but my hands are sweaty from signing so many books! Then we were chatting and I told him I loved him and gave him my letter. I also got a book signed for my friend who is not very well, and Alfie being as sweet as he is wrote her a get well soon message in the front of her book!

Question 7. 'Who is one person you would love to meet?'

I have a few idols in which are all amazing and I would love to meet either, Zoe Sugg, Tanya Burr or Blake Lively. I think all these women are absolutely stunning and I would love to just have a conversation with them. You may not know who Blake Lively is, but she plays Serena Van Der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

Question 8. 'Do you have a you tube channel? If yes, are you doing vlogmas?'

In answer to this, no I do not have a You tube channel. However I am going to try something that i am calling 'Blogmas' and try to post different Christmas things and DITL and follow me around random things, so that will be starting on the 1 December until the 25th! I hope you will like this idea?!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it, and it might have answered some questions about me that you didn't know!!

Liz Earle is my life saver!

19/11/2014

Hellooo!

This week I thought that I would do a product review. If you saw my last post you would know about how I feel about my skin and my insecurities. When I started to use Liz Earle I suddenly noticed a huge difference in the way my skin looked, making me feel slightly more confident.

This product is the Liz Earle cleanse and polish Hot cloth cleanser. This you simply rub the cream sort of product into your skin without water or any liquid and let it soak for 5 minutes. I use one pump of the 100ml bottle, for my face every morning and evening.

One thing I love is the fact that it is made with naturally active ingredients such as: Rosemary, Chamomile, Cocoa Butter and Eucalyptus essential oils. I think this makes it smell divine but also it is very smooth on the skin and very moisturising! It is also good for all skin types which is good for me because I have combination/oily skin. When you order this product it is sent with a muslin cloth.

This cloth you just heat up under running hot water and as soon as it is taken out of the water it starts to cool quite fast, so you can do a bit of your face and its kind of an indicator to know when to wash and re-use the cloth. To cover my whole face I have to wash it about 4-5 times, but I don't mind because I know my skin is clean.

I also find that the Liz Earle cleanser takes of my little bits of make-up that won't come off, and this is a benefit to me, because with one of my mascaras ( Benefit they're real) I really struggle to remove it even with Clinique make-up remover and Liz Earle products ALWAYS get that off for me, which makes me happy!

I have also tried the Liz Earle oily/combination moisturiser as well as the skin tonic booster, and these both are very good as well and really help my skin, but the Hot Cloth Cleanser helps me the most!

I would recommend this product to anyone with quite spotty skin, because it really helps clear it up, and make me feel confident with out my make up on! I would defiantly rate this a 5/5!

However the Liz Earle products are quite expensive so you may want to think about it first or try a smaller bottle and don't go straight into 100ml. Overall Liz Earle is a lovely product and it is so lovely to use!

You can buy it from the Liz Earle website just click their name!: Liz Earle
