Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015!

31/12/2014
Hi guys,

So today is the last day of 2014, and I guess that's kind of sad. I have made so many memories this year and so many new friends such as my internet best friend Alice who is ever so lovely, caring, kind and can always cheer me up when I'm sad so I'm ever so grateful for her. She is always therefore me and I feel like she needs a special mention because she is ever so special to me.

I know that hardly anyone reads my blog but I am ever so grateful for those of you who do and give me support because I feel like you are all my best friends and that I can always have someone to rely on when I'm sad, and that will listen and not judge me. I feel like writing my blog has helped my self confidence in a lot of ways because I'm not scared to be myself and I'm not scared to voice my opinion and for it to be heard. I like it as well because you find out about me through my personality and my hobbies, things I like and my interests before you see what I look like, proving the quote, "Its what's on the inside not the outside" In being correct!

I want to wish you all a happy new year and I hope you have a lovely start whether you are going back to school, university, work or whatever you enjoy doing! Have a lovely time and party tonight because who doesn't love a party!!?

Thank you again for all the support I get on my blog, I never thought that people would ever read this, it was just somewhere for me to escape and be myself, but now people read it and I have made some lovely friends!

Also over the next couple of days my blog may look quite weird/different and that's because I'm hopefully changing the theme and layout, fingers crossed!

Q&A!

26/11/2014

Hellooo everyone!

This week I tweeted asking if anyone wanted to ask me any questions and I was actually asked quite a few!? So I narrowed it down to 9ish questions? If you would like to ask me any questions in the future you can leave a comment below!

Question 1. 'Why did you start this account?'

I didn't know if this was my twitter or my blog so I'm going to do both! I started my twitter because it is a fan account for Youtube. However I started my blog because I felt like it was somewhere in which I could escape from my exams and have something that I just like to do ( I'll explain the full story another time!)

Question 2. ' Would you rather live without the Internet, or toilet paper?!'

I sat and thought about this for quite a while because I really didn't know ( laughing as I type this next bit ). However I would rather live without toilet paper because there is no rule saying I cant use kitchen roll right?!?

Question 3. 'Who inspires you the most in your everyday life?'

I'm going to be very deep here be prepared.... The one person who inspires me the most would be my mum. This is because she is so lovely and caring and does some amazing things. I love my mum so much and if I was to grow up like her, being as successful as she is then I would feel like my life is complete!

Question 4. 'What is your favourite thing about Christmas?'

Well.... If you know me well then you will know that Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and I LOVE IT SOOOOOOOOO MUCH :):):):):):):):):):):):):) I love the films, the food and seeing family and spending time with them. But I love one thing the most and that is snow because who doesn't love a white Christmas?1

Question 5. 'What's your favourite thing about living in the UK?'

I am one of the weirdo's that love the sudden changes in British weather. This is because one day it is sunny and the next foggy and frosty. I'm hoping this will happen again soon but be snow instead!

Question 6. 'What did you say to Alfie when you met him?'

Meeting Alfie was one of the best things in my whole year of being 14! When I approached him myself and my friend both asked for high fives because he was sat behind a desk it was the only physical contact we were allowed with him, and he said okay, but my hands are sweaty from signing so many books! Then we were chatting and I told him I loved him and gave him my letter. I also got a book signed for my friend who is not very well, and Alfie being as sweet as he is wrote her a get well soon message in the front of her book!

Question 7. 'Who is one person you would love to meet?'

I have a few idols in which are all amazing and I would love to meet either, Zoe Sugg, Tanya Burr or Blake Lively. I think all these women are absolutely stunning and I would love to just have a conversation with them. You may not know who Blake Lively is, but she plays Serena Van Der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

Question 8. 'Do you have a you tube channel? If yes, are you doing vlogmas?'

In answer to this, no I do not have a You tube channel. However I am going to try something that i am calling 'Blogmas' and try to post different Christmas things and DITL and follow me around random things, so that will be starting on the 1 December until the 25th! I hope you will like this idea?!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it, and it might have answered some questions about me that you didn't know!!

Liz Earle is my life saver!

19/11/2014

Hellooo!

This week I thought that I would do a product review. If you saw my last post you would know about how I feel about my skin and my insecurities. When I started to use Liz Earle I suddenly noticed a huge difference in the way my skin looked, making me feel slightly more confident.

This product is the Liz Earle cleanse and polish Hot cloth cleanser. This you simply rub the cream sort of product into your skin without water or any liquid and let it soak for 5 minutes. I use one pump of the 100ml bottle, for my face every morning and evening.

One thing I love is the fact that it is made with naturally active ingredients such as: Rosemary, Chamomile, Cocoa Butter and Eucalyptus essential oils. I think this makes it smell divine but also it is very smooth on the skin and very moisturising! It is also good for all skin types which is good for me because I have combination/oily skin. When you order this product it is sent with a muslin cloth.

This cloth you just heat up under running hot water and as soon as it is taken out of the water it starts to cool quite fast, so you can do a bit of your face and its kind of an indicator to know when to wash and re-use the cloth. To cover my whole face I have to wash it about 4-5 times, but I don't mind because I know my skin is clean.

I also find that the Liz Earle cleanser takes of my little bits of make-up that won't come off, and this is a benefit to me, because with one of my mascaras ( Benefit they're real) I really struggle to remove it even with Clinique make-up remover and Liz Earle products ALWAYS get that off for me, which makes me happy!

I have also tried the Liz Earle oily/combination moisturiser as well as the skin tonic booster, and these both are very good as well and really help my skin, but the Hot Cloth Cleanser helps me the most!

I would recommend this product to anyone with quite spotty skin, because it really helps clear it up, and make me feel confident with out my make up on! I would defiantly rate this a 5/5!

However the Liz Earle products are quite expensive so you may want to think about it first or try a smaller bottle and don't go straight into 100ml. Overall Liz Earle is a lovely product and it is so lovely to use!

You can buy it from the Liz Earle website just click their name!: Liz Earle

Why do i use make-up?

12/11/2014
Hey guys!

So many of you are probably slightly confused by the title and so was I when I first wrote it. However now that I've started typing, and my fingers are tapping away I cant stop so I apologise if this is very long, but it is my opinion and how I feel and more!

I started wearing make-up in year seven, which is the beginning of secondary school. However this was something simple like a mascara or a translucent powder. This was on/off depending on when I got up(me being a lazy year seven sleeping until 7am this wasn't often!!). It was all just for fun and because I was thinking well why not experiment with different things. However as my skin grew worse and worse I started getting comments off of people, about how I looked and it really put my self-esteem down.

I have quite spotty skin and I have tried so many different face washes and cleansers and everything under the sun but I can never find things that can work. The only way I can clear up part of my skin is by staying in the sun for at least 3 weeks and it finally starts to clear up. However even if I only have one or two spots I still feel very self conscious.

And then as I started year 9 I was fed up of these comments and started to wear more and more make-up. I knew at the time that this was bad for my skin but I kept doing it because it was something to hide behind. Something to help me feel as though I could fit in and be normal for once. As the year went on I started to wear and apply more types of make-up and it just became a chore for me to do. When year 9 ended I really wasn't confident unless I had on my make-up which I could hide behind. Starting in year ten the September just gone, I felt like unless I would keep on wearing this make-up everyone would still make comments about me and upset me... So when I went back to school, I not only was wearing powder, but also foundation, concealer, mascara and I really tried to hide.

I was finally happy because I felt like now people couldn't judge me. Until today. Two people in the space of one hour asked me why am I wearing make-up? and told me that I was wearing to much make up this then upset me and I felt like crying because make-up was my way of hiding but it apparently wasn't working. Its not like my foundation is the wrong colour because it is matched to my skin by the number 7 machine thingymobob!

Now I really don't know what to do because I cant dare to be bare skinned, yet I don't want to wear my make-up because otherwise I feel like people will make comments towards me.

However if you watch a youtuber called Zoella ( Zoe Sugg ) then you will know about her video where she talks about how your skin doesn't define you. However being in a public school I feel like no-matter how I look people will always make comments towards me and it just makes me really upset that we cant all be seen for who we are, and not be defined by our skin, just like Zoe said!
Please feel free to leave comments below with questions or anything you want to know, or advice because I am open to this, or go on the contact tab and drop me an email because I am happy to talk to anyone and I wont share anything unless you wish me too or anything like that.

Thank you,

My favourite nail art designs at the moment!

25/10/2014
Helloo everyone,

I am sorry that no post went up on Wednesday but i have had such a hectic week, because of more exams and so much home learning :( And then last night (Friday) I was hosting a Halloween party, and there will be a tutorial on this and costume ideas next week hopefully! So today I have managed to sit down and pick up my laptop and type away a post that I am very excited to do. This is because I love doing nail art and painting my nails whenever I can to match different outfits, I think its like a bonus accessory if you like!

So my first nail varnish creation nail art weird thing as I would call it is going to have my Nails inc. colour in 'Tate' as the base colour. Then (PICTURED AT THE BOTTOM) I took my nails supreme nail art pen and created stripes across the top of the red on my ruby ring finger. I love this look around this time because we are leading up to Christmas 2 MONTHS TODAY YIPPEE and the gold is just sparkly and cute and I just love it!
Nails inc. London- 'Tate'

The finished look.
My next weird creation design thingy mabob, is created with the No7 stay perfect, ultra gloss finish in 'Tangy 220'. I am quite literally obsessed with this colour you could say because I love the way it looks and it looks so nice with a black and white outfit. So to change up this I did white polka dots on my ruby ring finger again. This is also called an accent nail and well I think it really can change a look!

The finished look.
Next i created a nail design thing, with my Barry m gelly hi-shine in Blueberry 344. I really would recommend these nail varnishes to anyone that likes a good finish. However I find they take quite a while to dry because it is gelly but I don't mind because I love the look after. To change this up  used my dark blue nails supreme art pen and did a flower on my accent nail.

I'm nearly there but next i created a design using my nail varnish that i bought in a store in Spain. I cant remember the name of the store but I do know it was a make-up shop. The nail varnish that I used as the base is made by Rare and is in the colour 011 strawberry milkshake. I love the colour of this as well as the name! To change up this design I painted my accent nail plain sparkly silver, as this makes the pattern more glamorous!

The finished look.
Finally i created a design using my Rimmel London Space dust nail varnish in '006 Moon Walking'. This colour is lovely and sparkly however I really recommend wearing a base coat because other wise it is very tricky to get off and can leave stains on your nails of purple. To change up this look I then painted my accent nail in just my Nails supreme purple, so as if it was back to front.

I hope you guys enjoyed my current favourite nail looks, and that you like them and you want try them out as well! If you do then leave a comment below and link me to a social networking site that you have posted it on! Or email me under the contact tab above! ( absterhamester@gmail.com )

These are my Nail Supreme nail art pens, and I bought them from Camden Market and they were £20!

My fluff ball :)

17/09/2014
Helllooooo my chubby squishy hamesters!

( OKAY THAT SOUNDED BETTER IN MY BRAIN BUT NOT ON PAPER)

This week I thought why not talk about one of my favourite things! No it's not something you can copy or have, because it is a ball of fur. Yes a ball of fluffy cuteness!

This creature is my cat. I have always loved cats because I grew up with two cats one named Molly and one Ben/benny, however Ben passed away in 2008 I think and Molly in 2012:(

Since then I have always wanted to get a cat of my own... So in about 2010 I went with my mum and choose a kitten.

Here he is on his first Christmas at home:

My cat is a cross bread between a load of things that I should know but don't...;)
His name is Monty because he has like an M in his fur on his head and so I felt it was appropriate, unlike my brother who at the time was obsessed with Ben 10 and wanted to call him Ben 10!?

 The M in his head:

Monty went from being an indoors cat that liked snuggles and sharing my bed, to an adventurous outdoors cat that loved catching mice and frogs! However recently he's becoming more of an indoors cat because he now love's sleeping on my bed all the time and leaving a furry mess!

However I'm useless at feeding my cat(HE DOES GET FED BEFORE YOU THINK IM A BAD PERSON), because either I'm doing something. Or he just comes home and meows so I owe it all to my mum and stepdad for helping me care for my fluff ball<3

Thank you for reading this post, I apologise for not posting much but I've been flying and driving all over the world! And there is more to come on that! So keep your eyes open for them!

psttt, secretly I think Monty thinks he's a model!
