Benefit BADgal BANG! Mascara*

08/02/2018

Just last week Benefit released a brand new product, 'BADgal BANG! Mascara' which is similar to their older mascara 'Badgal Lash'. However now having used both, I can see a clear difference in the two and why Benefit caused so much hype around this new product!

The packaging is a sleek matte black, which I was previously worried about when I first saw the new release online. Yet once it turned up at my door the next day, I saw that the sleek matte packaging worked amazingly with the metallic letters. This lid also has a strange bumpy texture but for someone like me who can never open packaging this added extra (even if this wasn't the purpose of it) helps me to always open the bottle even when I have foundation caked slippery hands!

Onto the actual product itself... The 'BADgal BANG! Mascara' claims to have full blast volume, lifted lashes as well as lengthened lashes. On top of everything they claim the mascara is also smudge-proof and water-resistant! I have been putting the mascara to the test for the past week now and have come to my little space online to share with you what I thought all about it.

'BADgal BANG! Mascara' definitely adds length and volume to my lashes and if you follow me on Instagram, then you would've seen me talking about how amazing the wand is with the fact it is so slim it reaches all the tiny lashes from root to tip! I didn't think this small wand would hold up to everything it claims to bring because of its size, trust me this wand doesn't hide away.

The mascara is water-resistant because I struggle to take it off at the end of the day, even my trusty eye makeup remover struggles with it. The only issue I found with this mascara is that when I applied it onto my bottom lashes it added too much length and I found they occasionally left an imprint under my eye so I just apply a little less now, than I was before.

Overall I am very impressed with the new Benefit 'BADgal BANG! Mascara', I even convinced my mum to order one with how different it made my lashes look. I will definitely be purchasing this mascara when I run out!

21st: Benefit Advent Calendar! *Blogmas 2015*

21/12/2015

Hello lovelies,

So I have opened another door on my benefit advent calendar and I have fallen in love with what is inside.

Behind the door was a lipstick in the colour of the Benefit Hoola bronzer. It creates a simple natural lip that adds gloss and shine to what appears to be your natural colour.

The lipstick is slightly sticky, but after wearing it for a longer period of time it loses this and ends up adding a shiny look.

The lipstick isn't very pigmented but I had imagined it wouldn't be because it is meant to be just a natural lip. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a simple lip that goes with any eye look.

20th: Benefit Advent Calendar! *Blogmas 2015*

20/12/2015
Hello lovelies!

So today's blog post is another door on my advent Calander. Having so few doors left means Christmas is just around the corner!!

Under Today's door was the Benefit Bad Gal Lash. When I first opened the bottle I was rather sceptical. This was because the brush wand was so large. I was worried about putting this too close to my eye because I'd lose my eye.

Anyway I did. That's use it not lose my eye!? One coat of this mascara is all you need. I literally blinked on the wand head and bam I had these bold looking lashes!

I love the name of the mascara because it is so bold it isn't allowed at school. I don't know if that's just me over thinking it and being weird or realisation hitting me.

I love recommend this mascara to anyone who wants something that is easily applicable and makes your lashes extended and thicker with a blink of an eye.

Leave a comment below on what mascara you use!

15th: Benefit Advent Calendar! *Blogmas 2015*

15/12/2015

Hello lovelies,
So today's blog post is going to be about the benefit watts up. Everyone normally says don't judge a book by its cover, but this product looks amazing from the outside. I love how there is a string of fairy lights around the outside. I feel like it makes the product look a lot more festive. It probably wasn't even intentional but I love it nonetheless!
The highlighter itself is amazing. I much prefer this to the Highbeam by Benefit. The Watts Up is extremely pigmented and I dabbed over the top of my cheek and it lasted much longer than I originally thought it would!
The stick itself is a nude colour filled with sparkles! I rubbed the tip of my finger on the top and then dabbed this on. It blended into my foundation really well and left the shimmer effect on the top.
This is officially my new favourite highlighter by far. If you are looking for a product that will add a dewy glow, then deffinatly the Benefit Watts Up!

Leave a comment below on what your favourite highlighter is because I'd love to find new ones to try!
(p.s I apologise for the poorer quality photos, I had to take them on my iPhone due to my camera being flat!)

13th: Benefit Advent Calendar! *Blogmas 2015*

13/12/2015

Hello lovelies,

I’ve only just realised the time, I was too engrossed in one directions last live performance (basically sobbing to myself). When I realised I hadn’t written today’s Blogmas. I decided not to pre-write anything because I felt like it then wouldn’t be a blogpost every day in a weird way?! Anyway it has proven to me how much I procrastinate and how much more time I should spend realising the real world oops.

Anyway today in my benefit advent calendar I got the POREfessional which a primer that is supposed to minimalize the appearance of your pores obviously.

Which it does! I am a big fan of the POREfessional and I bought one back in February which still hasn’t run out! I’m happy to have a travel sized one though for going away.

The texture is like a cream that is tinted to a light/medium skin tone. I simply rub it in circular motions over the area and then apply foundation etc.

What primer do you use? Leave a comment below because I always love to try new products!

11th: Benefit Advent Calendar! *Blogmas 2015*

11/12/2015

Hello lovelies,

So of course the time has come to do another door on my benefit advent calendar. This means it is getting nearer to Christmas... only 14 days eeek!

Anyway in today’s door was the Benefit Lollitint in the shade Candy Orchid. This is a lip and cheek stain in a rosy pink colour. The colour is easily buildable as well as highly pigmented. You can simply add a stroke to your cheeks blending out with your fingertips.

On top of this you can also apply two or three times to the lips to add a pop of colour. This has to be one of my new benefit products by far.

What is your favourite lip or cheek stain?!

9th: Benefit Advent Calendar! *Blogmas 2015*

09/12/2015

Hello Lovelies,

Today’s blogpost is going to be another review from my benefit calendar. Today’s door contained one of my favourite benefit products of all times, that I used to constantly rave about and was my go to mascara.

The Benefit They’re Real in black which is an amazing formulae made mascara. You can easily build up the amount of mascara that you are wearing by applying a few more coats. This is beneficial to me because I will wear very subtle amounts to school with more on weekends. You can easily thicken and lengthen your lashes with one mascara.

Many people that I have spoken to have said that they found the brush very scratchy and that it wasn’t comfortable to use. I however completely disagree with this. I think it is quite soft and very easy to use!

What is your favourite mascara?

7th: Benefit Advent Calendar *Blogmas*

07/12/2015

Hello lovelies,

Today I opened day 4 of my Benefit Party Poppers calendar. Under this day was the ULTRA PLUSH in Sugar bomb.

The ULTRA PLUSH in Sugar bomb is a perfect nude colour. It adds a small pigmentation of colour with a large amount of gloss. I love lip-glosses like this because they go with any other eye makeup look.

The packaging is very simple yet looks super cute! I love the fact it is in a squeeze tube (is this a thing?!?!) because it reminds me of older lip-glosses without a brush!

The smell and taste of the product is amazing. I have no idea why but I love lip glosses that smell good because they are under your nose for a long time!

 What is your favourite lip-gloss?

6th: Benefit Advent Calendar *Blogmas 2015*

06/12/2015

Hello lovelies!

Today’s product which was under door 3 was the Benefit Highbeam. I have always wanted to try this highlighter because I have seen lots of bloggers share the hype about it.

I applied the Highbeam today with my everyday make-up look, and at first it looked really good and was making my face look more defined. However I found it quickly faded and wasn’t noticeable.

I am a major benefit fan and I love to use quite a few of their products everyday but I found at first the pigmentation was amazing and then it just went. Maybe I didn’t put enough on or it doesn’t suit me, but I won’t be buying this again.

I have to be honest and I wouldn’t be buying this again. It is not worth the money.

3rd: Benefit Advent Calendar! *Blogmas 2015*

03/12/2015

Hello lovelies!
So it is now the third day of December and I feel like now everyone is getting excited, the days are dragging out and getting excessively slower! Of course today is going to be a review of the product I received in my benefit calendar!
So this morning I opened my calendar to find the Benefit Total Moisture Face Cream. Being the morning I obviously applied this after washing my face. I found that it wasn’t too greasy and once it had soaked in it wasn’t shiny.
I applied some makeup over the top of the moisturiser and it helped to keep my foundation on longer which is a big bonus from me. Upon returning from school this evening I showered and washed all my make-up off. Then I applied some of the moisturiser again. It creates a smooth texture over your skin as well as making it super soft! Can we also please talk about how cute the packaging is of the mini one! It is adorable!!
I’m hoping that it will also help to clear up some of my skin but I will have to get back to you on that one.

Leave a comment below on your favourite moisturiser as I love to always try new ones!

1st: Benefit Advent Calender! *Blogmas 2015*

Hellooo lovelies!

So it is finally December and that means CHRISTMAS. If you read my Q&A post a few days ago then you would know that in December I’m going to open my beauty calendar every other day. The beauty calendar I have this year is the Benefit Limited Edition Party Poppers ( Obviously because it is limited edition it is sold out!). The calendar has 12 windows so I have decided to do one every other day of December.

In the first window was the Benefit ooh la lift. This is a pale pink colour that can highlight under your eyes, however I also used it to accentuate my brow bone. The pictures above do not give the product justice. It has taken away my dark circles and now I look wide awake! It comes on what looks like a lipstick brush, and I just swiped it under my eye and then patted it in with my finger.
I would recommend this product to anyone who has had next to no sleep or just has dark circles! It also says that it will take away puffiness however my eyes weren't puffy so I couldn't test it!
I hope you have enjoyed Blogmas day 1 and will come back tomorrow for a different kind of blogpost!
Leave a comment below on what advent calendar you have whether it is chocolate or candles I'd love to know!

Autumn Make-Up Look!

07/10/2015

Hellooo Lovelies!
Today I wanted to do an autumnal make-up look for you! I decided it was easier to write the steps with a few pictures of the final image! I love this look and think that it is perfect for autumn! While doing this I realised my lack of skill in taking selfies! Come back to my blog on Friday to find out about the clothes I wear with this look eeek!
My primer that I used I used is the Benefit Porefessional. This is amazing. It shrinks the size of your pores, practically making them invisible! I find applying this under my foundation helps it stay longer but also it glides on. It is the best purchase I’ve ever made!
After my primer I obviously applied foundation. The foundation I choose to use is the Rimmel Lasting perfection. I have owned this since the beginning of the year and have never had the right shade of skin to wear it (Back then I just gambled with my make-up and slapped on any bits and bobs!). This foundation has quite a high coverage meaning I need minimal concealer. A hint in the name 'Lasting' is true! You can sometimes buy products that don't do what it says on the tin, but this defiantly does!!
After this is go in with my concealer which is the Estee Lauder double wear. This concealer is practically cement. I dab it in with my beauty blender by Real Techniques and it does the job. It has a high coverage and will cover even the reddest of spots... even the dreaded under eye bags!
Then I applied my bronzer and blusher. The bronzer I used is the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer. I have raved about this before because not only is it amazing but it also smells like chocolate... So it is to die for! Then I did my blusher with the Make-Up Revolution blusher in the shade Sugar. I really blended it out with my setting brush because I like a subtle colour.
After this I applied my eyeshadow Primer. My primer was a sample of the Benefit Air Patrol! This is as amazing as the Porefessional... Not only does it prevent creasing but it creates an even toned base that can then be blended into eyeshadow. For eye shadow I used the Urban Decay Naked 2, which is my ultimate favourite! I used the colour Chopper all over my lids and then blended through the crease with the colour Snakebite.
Then I applied my mascara which was the Benefit They’re real! This mascara has been my favourite since it was released! I love the volume it is the most amazing mascara invented! If you go back and stalk me you will be able to read it!
Every bloggers favourite powder was then applied which is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 002! This powder is fabulous. That’s all I can say. It is so cheap and affordable everybody needs to try!
Finally I applied my lipstick. I used an H&M Lip Pen in the Shade Cherry. This colour is so autumnal I love it! It is buildable so you can easily make it darker!
I hope you have enjoyed this different post! What is your favourite make-up item that you never leave the house without?

My Holiday Make-up Bag!

29/07/2015

Hellooo!
It is finally the summer... Well in terms of school now that it is the summer holidays everyone is going away. Therefore I thought that I would show you what I take in my make-up bag when I go away. I normally go to hot countries with lots of sunshine so rarely end up wearing foundation but I still wear mascara etc. My Make-up bag is from the Zoella Beauty range in superdrug! I love these make-up bags because they are the perfect size and they are wipe clean on the outside for any make-up spillages!

One thing that is always in my make-up bag is the current nail varnish I am wearing. In the summer I swap between Essie'Watermelon', Essie 'Sunday Fun day' and BarryM Gelly Hi shine 'Pomegranate'. At the minute it is 'Pomegranate'. I love this collection that BarryM do because it looks as though it is done very professionally once dried, however it was done by me! The colour is a red with subtle pink through it. I always take my nail varnish away with me because it can either chip in the pool or the sun, so just for touch ups.

A necessity I take everywhere no matter what but especially on holiday or public transport is hand sanitizer. This is because I become a bit of a germ freak and because I have a habit of biting my nails this means I’m not digesting any bacteria (tmi I’m so sorry). The one I’m currently using is the Bath and Body Works Fresh Sparkling Snow PocketBac. I find these super handy as they fit in everything! This scent is now longer available to purchase due to it being a Christmas special, but they have many others!

Another necessity to take is a make-up remover obviously. However I really love the Estee Lauder Take it Away Make-up removerLotion. I find this is super easy to use and moisturisers your skin at the same time! I like this as well because it fits nicely in my make-up bag as well as being the only moisturiser lotion to take off benefit they're real mascara!! I hate having to buy the matching remover to the mascara so I love when I find one just as good!

Furthermore another item that is always in my make-up bag is a moisturiser. Normally I would take my eczema cream, however I have recently been using a new cream that has cleared it all up yippee!!(Blog post soon all about it!!) Anyway my moisturiser is currently the travel size of Bath and Body works Oahu Coconut Sunset Aloe Gel Lotion ( I couldn't find the gel on the website but this is the link to the normal body cream). I prefer for my hands/body to use a gel lotion because it not only helps with dry skin but also burnt skin. It really soothes the skin creating a cooling effect. This Aloe Gel Lotion was sent to me by my best friend who lives in America Chloe (https://instagram.com/chloe_matthewss/) she is very beautiful, so I recommend you go follow her ;)

Underneath any makeup I wear a primer. My primer is the same as I’ve always used and it is my love. This is the Benefit ThePore-fessional. This in the image is the travel size and that’s because it is much easier to take on holiday with you so I like to buy this size.

Like I mentioned above, I hardly wear foundation on holiday however, for the first day or two I do. I will wear the Estee LauderDouble Wear Light foundation in intensity 0.5. This foundation is like concrete. Once I have it on and powdered it doesn't move. It lasts until I wash it off at the end of the day! The Double Wear light is an easily buildable coverage. I normally day to day build it up a lot however only wear a thin coating on holiday just to have an even skin tone and to cover any smaller blemishes.

If on holiday I don’t wear foundation I normally apply a CC cream. I love the Clinique version of this. It is very longwearing and the shade matches my skin very well when I become a bit darker. This also has a buildable coverage.

To go with my foundation I always take a powder. I try to take a translucent powder because this means that even when I am tanned I can just apply some of this to reduce any shiny patches. The powder I find works the best at doing this is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in 004Sandstorm.

One thing that I believe everyone should take with them when in the sun is a lip balm. I love the E.O.S Lip balms because you don't have to dip in your finger and then be left with it all sticky when you are done. They are super easy to transport and last a long time. This is 'Summer Fruits' which I would have to say is my second favourite behind mint. However it is nice in the summer because it is a subtle smell.

I am very partial to wear liquid eyeliner. I love to create make-up looks all the time with liquid liner, yet I’m not brave enough to ever go out wearing it. However once I have a tan for some reason I also gain a lot of confidence which clearly, was never there before. I like to use the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner. Now this really does what it says on the bottle. The nib is so fine I can create the thinnest or thickest wing simply by moving up the nib line.

As well as this I like to alternate to a simple black eye pencil. The eye pencil I use it the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12HRWear, Waterproof in the shade 01 Black Lace. The black is very matte with a smooth application. I find this pencil easily glides on, yet never leaves.

When going on holiday I like to take 2 different lipsticks as well as a lip gloss. This is because I like to alternate depending on what I’m wearing or what kind of make-up look I have chosen to wear. I take my Mac Cremsheen lipstick in the shade Hot Gossip as well as the Estee LauderPure colour in the shade 26 Nectarine. These colours are very different from each other. One is a subtle pink, the other being bright red! The lip gloss is also by Estee Lauder in the shade 11 Passion Fruit, which is a gorgeous Pink shimmer. (Both the Estee Lauder products where free gifts with a purchase so they cannot be purchased.)

One necessity that I wear everyday no matter what is mascara. Now the mascara I take everywhere with me I have raved about in previous blog posts so I won’t write too much here but it is the BenefitThey’re Real. This mascara has been my favourite since it came out and still is. The only problem I have with it is the fact it’s so hard to take off!!

With me everywhere I go I take my favourite palette. The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palhttp://www.sephora.com/naked2-P302916?skuId=1393636ette is my all-time go to palette because it has all the necessity colours. I love Tease and Half-baked, and they both go amazingly together. (I did a review of the palette and you can check that out here!)

As well as make-up you obviously need utensils (not a whisk and spoon!). I always take eyelash curlers with me because they help to open up my eyes, because my eyes are a darker colour. My eyelash curlers are from The Body Shop UK and are amazing. I absolutely adore the colour of them.

Finally of course take make-up brushes. I own a lot of the Real Techniques brushes. Here in the photo is the Powder brush and the Buffing brush (Which come in the core collection). These two brushes are extreme essentials to me because the Buffing brush is for my foundation or bb cream! However my all-time favourite brush is the Powder brush because it is so big and soft. It applies my powder so smoothly and doesn’t create much fall out, as in the product doesn’t fall off.
I hope you have enjoyed this longer blog post and that you aren’t asleep by the end of it. Have a lovely summer!

<3
