Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Hotel!

13/04/2016

Hellooo Lovelies,

On Saturday it was my mother’s birthday and as a gift I took her to the Waldorf Hotel in London. We started the day shopping around and buying everything we saw before venturing over! I chose the Waldorf for afternoon tea because not only had everybody online said it was incredible I also was enticed by the idea that it has the same name as Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. I had booked the afternoon tea for 2pm so we arrived at 1:45 as you have to wait in a little queue with others arriving at that time. The room was full of subtle chatter and a harpist playing in the centre. The room its self was so beautiful with such intricate detail especially the sparkly chandeliers!

We started off with Tea because it isn’t Afternoon tea without tea and so I just had English breakfast tea while my mum opted to go with coffee. The man bought some mini sand timers that my mother and I instantly thought we could only be there for a certain time until we realised it was how long to let your tea brew for!
Next came out a plate of sandwiches, Ham and Mustard (my favourite!), cheese and cucumber, egg and cress, tomato cheese and salmon. The Ham one definitely had to be my favourite closely followed by the gorgeous egg!

Then came the incredible of all incredible things… the cake tier! The plates consisted of scones, chocolate finger sponge, tiramisu, passion fruit cupcakes, macaroons and so many more! My favourite had to be the tiramisu because it was so creamy I loved it. My mother loved the chocolate finger sponge because it was freshly out the oven and still warm so the chocolate chunks were still melted which was a great touch! Overall the food was of a very high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed all of it.

If you are out in London then I would really recommend booking for afternoon tea here. Throughout the meal there was also a harpist playing which really added to the atmosphere. Staff at the Waldorf were all so welcoming and even bought out a slice of cheesecake for my mum and we all sang because it was her birthday!

I hope you have enjoyed this post and are having a lovely week!

Q&A!

26/11/2014

Hellooo everyone!

This week I tweeted asking if anyone wanted to ask me any questions and I was actually asked quite a few!? So I narrowed it down to 9ish questions? If you would like to ask me any questions in the future you can leave a comment below!

Question 1. 'Why did you start this account?'

I didn't know if this was my twitter or my blog so I'm going to do both! I started my twitter because it is a fan account for Youtube. However I started my blog because I felt like it was somewhere in which I could escape from my exams and have something that I just like to do ( I'll explain the full story another time!)

Question 2. ' Would you rather live without the Internet, or toilet paper?!'

I sat and thought about this for quite a while because I really didn't know ( laughing as I type this next bit ). However I would rather live without toilet paper because there is no rule saying I cant use kitchen roll right?!?

Question 3. 'Who inspires you the most in your everyday life?'

I'm going to be very deep here be prepared.... The one person who inspires me the most would be my mum. This is because she is so lovely and caring and does some amazing things. I love my mum so much and if I was to grow up like her, being as successful as she is then I would feel like my life is complete!

Question 4. 'What is your favourite thing about Christmas?'

Well.... If you know me well then you will know that Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and I LOVE IT SOOOOOOOOO MUCH :):):):):):):):):):):):):) I love the films, the food and seeing family and spending time with them. But I love one thing the most and that is snow because who doesn't love a white Christmas?1

Question 5. 'What's your favourite thing about living in the UK?'

I am one of the weirdo's that love the sudden changes in British weather. This is because one day it is sunny and the next foggy and frosty. I'm hoping this will happen again soon but be snow instead!

Question 6. 'What did you say to Alfie when you met him?'

Meeting Alfie was one of the best things in my whole year of being 14! When I approached him myself and my friend both asked for high fives because he was sat behind a desk it was the only physical contact we were allowed with him, and he said okay, but my hands are sweaty from signing so many books! Then we were chatting and I told him I loved him and gave him my letter. I also got a book signed for my friend who is not very well, and Alfie being as sweet as he is wrote her a get well soon message in the front of her book!

Question 7. 'Who is one person you would love to meet?'

I have a few idols in which are all amazing and I would love to meet either, Zoe Sugg, Tanya Burr or Blake Lively. I think all these women are absolutely stunning and I would love to just have a conversation with them. You may not know who Blake Lively is, but she plays Serena Van Der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

Question 8. 'Do you have a you tube channel? If yes, are you doing vlogmas?'

In answer to this, no I do not have a You tube channel. However I am going to try something that i am calling 'Blogmas' and try to post different Christmas things and DITL and follow me around random things, so that will be starting on the 1 December until the 25th! I hope you will like this idea?!

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it, and it might have answered some questions about me that you didn't know!!

the pointless book meet up!

24/09/2014
heellllooo guys!

Soooo this is something amazing that happened that hasn't quite sunk in yet and still needs to and I can't get over it...so I'm just going to start it!

On Saturday the 6th of September I got up super early( mainly because I couldn't sleep) and caught the train to London. Once in London we got the underground to piccadily and made our way over to waterstones. When we got there the queue was HUGEE and much bigger than we anticipated! We joined the queue  and started to wait!

After queueing for one hour we got told the first 800 people where only aloud in and the rest of us where told to leave.... however myself and Gremlin (MY BESTFRIENDS ONLINE NAME) knew better and waited it out until we got to the cut off point. Alfie then drove past with zoe and a lot of people left the queue meaning we could move forward because we weren't silly enough to bang on the windows and stop them getting past. By this time there was still a lot of people in front of us and we where starting to think that we'd never get in. However the next thing we knew was Dom had arrived and most of the people ran from the queue infront of us and we used this chance to move into the gap.

We finally reached the last corner and they said you'd only meet alfie if you had a ticket, but once again we didn't listen and kept queuing! We got to the entrance and by this time I was so happy even though I knew there was a chance I wouldn't meet alfie! We got to the door and they let in Gremlin (MY BESTFRIENDS ONLINE NAME) without a ticket and they wouldn't let me in, however using doggy eyes and pleading they let me in as well!:)

Once inside we had to queue for another hour! We had already queued for 6 hours and we final where getting closer! After purchasing the book ( I bought it there because in the terms and conditions they said that if you bought it their there is more chance of meeting alfie than bringing a book already, however on the day this rule clearly was ignored:( ) Then after queuing for a long time, and making new friends we where nearly there!

I filmed a lot of the footage however that obviously can't be put on a blog so I'm going to include the best photos I took here:

Once alfie signed our books Gremlin (HER ONLINE NAME) asked him for a high five and he replied with "my hands are a bit sweaty though!" so she high fives him, then I asked for a high five and he goes, "you can but excuse my sweaty hands!"

A lot more happened but my fingers hurt from typing because I've just finished an essay for English as well :( But I will leave with this message for alfie for if in a million years he saw this:

Hi alfie!!
I just want to say thank you so much for seeing as many of us as you could it was so kind of you, even if it meant only seeing you for a minuite, I was still eternally grateful! I hope you got my letter and you read it and therefore I won't have to explain everything I did in there here! but thank you so much your an inspiration I love you <3
